I finally found MSNBC on my cable dial, and watched an hour of it last night, and a little bit today. I know several people recommended it over CNN, and I know Olbermann is a UU - but geez louise, why are he and Chris Matthews such blowhards?

Eggh. Well, I’ll probably give them a whirl anyway tonight, just cuz I’ve already gone the CNN route. I wonder if they’ll have that cool touch display wall like the dude from CNN?

My girls call Olbermann my “other” boyfriend (Jon Steward of the Daily Show is my first boyfriend). But I can’t stand to watch Chris Mathews, either. (I loved when he was plugging his book on the Daily Show; Stewart eviscerated him.) I’ve now got my mom hooked on both my boyfriends. But she stops watching K.O. at the half hour, she says it’s all ’stupid stuff’ after that.

Matthews is terrible. Keith on Countdown is awesome, particularly his Special Comments, and we watch him every night. But, the freewheeling coverage where they just talk for hours gets old on every channel. The main reason I stick with MSNBC outside of Countdown is for Rachel Maddow, from Air America, who is often a commentator for Keith and on the election results panels. She’s super smart, funny, and I have a huge girl-crush on her.

It is clearly the Obama channel and since I gave up a long time ago thinking there was anything inherently impartial about the media, that’s who I stayed with all night long.

      I didn’t know Olbermann was a UU!
